I'm 54 and if I were to enter the dating arena, I would want a man who was natural looking with normal wrinkles, greying or receding hair, and would expect him to have above average body fat like I do and most middle aged people I know.

So long as he engages in good hygiene and wears clean clothes, I'm just not concerned about all the vanity.

What puzzles me is that anybody could reach midlife without having grown to a point where CHARACTER is the first and foremost consideration in a partner.

Quality men in their 50s are married to the quality women they met in their 20s and 30sand are raising their quality children.

Your issue is in the use of the word “quality”. I’m in my fifties, reasonably fit, trim, naturally have very little gray, plus I’m considerate, respectful, dependable, and successful. (And yes I’m in LA since that was brought up). I’m pretty sure we’ll never match on OLD though. What qualities do you think you’re looking for?

Quality men in their 50s don’t give a f re: what you think about their wrinkles and bellies - they are either in relationships or they have their pick of quality women.

The quality men are probably avoiding women who insist that they use Botox and color their hair.
