They only care if it’s something that directly affects them.

They are wearing a blindfold, walking around with their hands out saying “if I didn’t see it, it doesn’t exist!”.

What on Earth are you talking about?

OP is a leftist / LWNJ.

But she wants to ignore Kamala’s “Don’t Get Popped” campaign ad, which glorified “height-ism.”

Tall guy here - I recognize there’s an issue for short guys and I recognize lots of other issues that impact all kinds of people. Everyone has their stack of problems they have to deal with.

There’s pretty privilege too. Attractive women will have people bend over backwards to help them while over weight women are just left to be invisible. As a guy, if you’re ugly, you’re automatically creepy and almost wear a target on your back to receive socially acceptable bullying. People are messed up but thats how the world works.

I dispute your premise.

But if you mean to suggest bigots are wildly inconsistent and the first to play victim, that isn’t a new insight.

Nobody knows what you are talking about.

It's a big thing on social media, where men-children complain aout how they're persecuted by women not liking them for reasons never have anything to do with men's behavior. Or reality.

Can you give more specifics about what the men complain about other than height discrimination?

There is, in the discourse, an open contempt for short men expressed by many women; it is mainstream and accepted. When a woman says “I’d never date a short man” it’s accepted as the natural order. Few women would have the nerve to say “I’d never date a Black man”, and those who did would be roundly condemned. And, while it’s easy to find racism on the internet if you look for it, i personally have never heard anyone express in real life that level of contempt for any other identifiable group. That sort of direct, open animus is not directly comparable to the more structural forms of “privilege” you are comparing it to.

Can you explain what their privilege is? I know men can date younger, but that to me is different from discriminating based on height.

Because it affects them. Women scoff at at , and talk about how women are discriminated against for being overweight. Both things happen, and men care about one and women care about the other. People are inherently selfish.

I don't know anyone like this IRL but I would imagine that the kind of guy who whines about being discriminated against for being short is the same type of guy who has fairly misogynistic views.
