The one carry on I use that packs more than any other is the Briggs expandable A you hit it shut as it compacts. I can get 50L out of that thing, it's $$$$$ but it's the largest carry on you can carry that I've found to fit the mostest

Agree. I got a spinner in Japan this size, but you can find something similar here. It's big enough for thoughtfully chosen outfits etc, but light enough to get into the back of cars and up the stairs at elevator-less b &b hotels.

Away expandable carry on

I travel a lot and almost never check a bag. I have an Away bigger carry on that I love. I have a trip coming up where I’m pretty sure I will need a little extra space. I’m willing to buy a new bag and check it but the medium sized ones by Away and TravelPro are way too big - almost double the volume. Any suggestions for slightly larger than carry-on size but not huge? Must be a spinner as public transportation is involved.
