I love my lovesac sectional and the knowledge that if one piece gets destroyed we aren’t out the whole cost. A toddler took a marker to the whole couch and after blotting and washing it was as good as new.

+1 - found our chaise couch there after 3 visits on the weekend. We’ve had it for 7 years so far and looks a day old at most. Has worn well with a giant dog and kids.

OP here and won’t buy down. Our throw pillows for the current couch are down and I hate all the feathers.

Whatever you do don't buy Room & Board Metro or Crate & Barrel Axis - they are basically the same couch (both made by the same manufacturer with the same horrible down back pillows that leak feathers for years and become so incredibly uncomfortable despite daily fluffing and weekly rotation). DON'T DO IT.

Wesley Hall or Highland House if you want something that isn’t from a big box store and is quality.

^^ this. Comes in multiple sizes, colors, etc. Also matching chairs, and you can get a variety of colors. We bought during covid, when you could get gray or beige on demand (literally the same week) but different colors took up to 3 months.

I was thinking about the love sac ones.
I’m also thinking about just having our current ones (which are crate and barrel) redone. The size and framing are good and the back upholstery is still in good shape.

Same.

I've looked at the love sac ones. I came to the conclusion that they are an overpriced gimmick.

Blu Dot if you like Joy Bird. Neither is going to last long they are pretty . I have had both and loved them. They last like five to 7 years with kids and dogs we are not hard on furniture. Joy Bird can be a pain if item comes in damaged . Both having changed manufacturers recently so not sure if my experience is up to date.

Macys
IKEA yes lasts long
Pottery Barn
Crate and Barrel
Calligarous Tysons two but pricey

We are moving and want to buy new living room furniture and a sectional couch. Where can we look that is good quality but won't cost a small fortune? I see a lot of adds from JoyBird and Castelry but have no experience with quality. It has been a decade since we bought new furniture, and our current pieces are from Ethan Allen. They were great but a decade of kids and pets has taken its toll. In terms of price, we are in the Crate & Barel, Pottery Barn range. I'm not ruling out these stores but would be interested in other ideas since there is SO much more to choose from these days. Thanks!
