Pensacola itself, not worth driving unless you wanted a slight upgrade to Destin or Panama City, but those have a stronger “spring break” vibe.

Orange Beach, AL. It’s the same beach basically, but better restaurant and condo options. Pensacola Beach is fine too- stay at the very end at the Portofino condos.

There aren’t any nice resorts anywhere in the area. You’ll have to do an Airbnb or similar rental.

You pretty much can’t go wrong. Pensacola Beach itself is spectacular (Unless you plan to stay at a beach hotel, I’d recommend going to the Ft. Pickens area to get away from the crowds).

If you don’t mind a drive, I personally prefer the Sandestin/Miramar Beach area about 1.5 hr drive east. Better restaurants, more upscale, more beach options, though less public access.
