Amy Levav at Women's Health Specialists in Rockville (North Bethesda area, not City of Rockville). I always recommend her, and then there's someone who comes on and bashes her. No idea what they went through, but I think she's fabulous, and I've had lots of issues, heavy bleeding, cysts, fibroids - she has been great with options ranging from wait and see or surgery and in-between, giving me the information and allowing me to make decisions.

I used Erin Perucci in Fairfax. Can do telehealth. Very knowledgeable. Labwork is not a prerequisite to HRT.

Where are you located? I like Dr. A at Fairfax Gynecology Group.

Do they send you somewhere for lab work?

I would look for a Menopause Society certified practitioner.

I chose my pcp in large part because of the hard time I was having with hot flashes, and she's been great. But she's primary care and concierge and you are looking for a gyn who takes insurance. So I'd look here: https://portal.menopause.org/NAMS/NAMS/Directory/Menopause-Practitioner.aspx

I am 48 and hormonally all over the place. Looking for a new gyn, ideally one who takes insurance and is excellent with peri/menopause issues. Would appreciate any recs - thanks.
