Why do you need to use the word "trash?" Does that make you feel tough. You can cite statistics. You can say that they are weaker than the rest of NESCAC. But completely insulting a school is childish.

No school is "trash." Every kid runs their own race. Different schools are appropriate for different kids. And different families have different circumstances, financially and otherwise.

And I say this knowing that I am almost certain that my spouse and I combined have more Ivy League degrees than you and your spouse. We don't feel the need to be snobs, unless dealing with "trash" like you.

Did you visit? We thought the location was the worst of both worlds. It's stuck on the edge of a depressing city without anything to walk to, but also not near nature either. My urban loving kids rejected it based on location and so did my nature loving kid.

That’s a ridiculous take. The campus is literally an arboretum. It’s right on the water, and a beautiful beach is 10 minutes away.

My son runs there and loves it. It seems like almost everyone gets a merit scholarship of $30K or more. Happy to answer any questions.

To pile on, that is the SAT stats of the 54% who bothered to submit an SAT. You can imagine what the real number would be if everybody submitted.

CC gives good merit. DD was offered $38K and she’s not an athlete. She committed elsewhere but this was one of the more affordable options after merit and was a strong contender. Just too far away and too small for DD.

Didn't we just have this discussion? Your child was also being recruited by Ithaca?

Conn College is a great school. Low end of NESCAC but no shame in that. It is small and kind of remote, though not as remote as some of the other NESCAC schools.

I know someone with a pretty non-conformist kind of kid from a good suburban public HS who goes there and is really happy. And I know they got good aid.

If the sun peaked from behind the clouds, it may not only be accurate, once a day, but it sounds majestic. Peeking behind the clouds is cliche; never use that phrase.
