Walmart will just inch the prices of slowly 5% at a time and Americans will eat it.

Net retail margins are tiny. Walmart will either raise prices or pull products. They're not going to lose money.

So much for laissez-faire economics that conservatives are so fond of touting. But we all know Trump is no conservative.

Yep, what’s interesting is that the “finding out” is impacting Walmart — not just their customers.

Trump is —only now — beginning to understand how “tariffs “ work. I don’t think he’s quite figured out what “trade deficits” mean. I hope Walmart stands firm here. What exactly is Trump’s “I’ll be watching” threat intended to suggest?

On the other side, Walmart presumably knew what they were getting with Trump. I hope they have a plan for this. Customers with tight budgets will shop accordingly, and Walmart will be one of the first businesses to feel it.
