They will have no idea and will assume it’s $20

Pp again. The cards and value are somewhat luck also. I told my friend a Pokemon she gave my son a few years ago is now worth several hundred dollars. She has no idea what she got for my kid.

I once got gifted a lion king dvd collection. I ended up returning it and got $100 for it. I’m almost certain it was a regift.

I wouldn’t worry about resale value of an older Pokemon set. My kids have gotten tons of these. I would not know difference between &20 or 80 set.

When my kids were that age we were given Pokémon cards very often. I never paid any attention to them so I would not of realized the pack you gave cost more than $20-30. I think majority of people would have no clue at the cost so you are fine to give that if you want to.

They won't know the value, and they won't remember what you got them by next year.

I would just give it because I doubt they’ll notice. My kid had received 2 of the same Nerf product from family members and I saved the other to give as a gift, not realizing it was almost $80 when I looked it up. I still gave it to them and I doubt they noticed.

I wouldn’t stress about this personally.

I would have no clue of the value of Pokémon cards you bought my kid.

I doubt anyone will notice. They certainly won’t remember by next year.

Yes, it is although the 6 year old and parents won’t realize it.

If I were you I would sell it on eBay and get a different gift for the 6 yo.

I bought something extra pokemon card collection gift 2 last years for my gift closet, and I don't realize that they raise up value from $30 to $90 to $100 on the market now (target/Walmart/Amazon/eBay). I am not sure if they are out of prints or too popular. Is it too expensive for a 6 year old birthday gift? It is a kid from school. I don't want to raise the gift value too high, and I am worried that they may expect more valuable or monetary equivalent next year if we get birthday invite next year again.
