He has 800 on SAT math, and will need 5 x AP tests (score of 5). Anything else he should know, or prepare for?
Which school is better for Pure Math? or applied math?
Saying "I got an 800, how do I get into Cambridge" is sort of like saying "I made varsity, how do I get a full ride to a D1?"
Which grade is he in?
Junior currently. finished calc bc in sophomore year, completed MultiCalc in college (grade: A). Has been taking a proof-based enrichment class over the last few years. does not like competition math so doesn't do them.

Harder as in "harder to get in (of the two)", or overall coursework and rigor will be harder over the 4 years of college?
Anonymous wrote:Cambridge is MIT equivalent. The only school in the world that MIT has an exchange program with and will accept credit from.
Anonymous wrote:Both are very solid math programs. Cambridge probably is slightly better at applied math. Oxford probably is slightly better for theoretical math.
Grads from either program often get jobs as Quants in The City.
