The haircuts are simple for men. Get a pair of clippers and some guards. I use a 3 on the bottom and a 7 on the top for my family in summer, in winter I use a 3, 6, 10 and fade it up.

I’m sorry I don’t know about this area specifically for elders, but there are service providers who do this for the general population.

My parents are out of state but just by googling I managed to find a lovely lady who does manicure and pedicure (just cutting nails for my dad). She was a CNA I think and did the classes to do nails for her grandmother and realized what a need there is.

This makes more sense because you share medical information with a podiatrist so they know if it's a situation they can handle.

We found AL offered this. They had salons in the facility. You would think it would be a great idea for a business-hygiene on wheels for the elderly, but there's probably too many liability issues because they can't ask medical history, but a person with dementia could lash out during a haircut and cause a dangerous situation. There's always the risk of clipping skin, causing bleeding and the person getting upset and when they get fragile enough they could have a fall from anything.

My Dad is in his 90s and getting too fragile to go out for a hair cut. Are there services come to the house to give a haircut or trim his nails? He lives in NW DC.
