Most likely, there is a separation of church and state issue with this one, as changing the calendar 2-3 weeks out is being done purely for religious reasons. Someone is going to sue (and win) over this one.

Arlington Public Schools yesterday announced that it is closing June 6, after seeing the moon this week and Eid moving a day earlier. Does anyone think Fairfax will??? it's my son's final field trip of elementary school and I know he'll be crushed.
