GP needs to change its staff. Urick has changed his staff a bunch already

If Urick wants to keep his job long term, he needs to change his staff. GP's staff mirrors a club team: guys who just show up with a bag of balls and expect to win.

Why doesn't he reach out to a few local Prep alums to see if they want to coach / give back to the GP program?

When I observe Landon's coaching staff, it's primarily alums other than Kubick (GP alum) and their HC Coach McGettigan who is an Episcopal alum. Landon's staff is also massive, 10+ coaches, I'm assuming half of them are volunteers who love the school.

He is not a coach. He is a fraudster who is taking up space. The boys can’t stand him.

While coaching is suspect combined with questionable personal decisions, upper classmen leadership in the locker-room this spring was absent. The 2025 class did not live up to the club ball hype.

Will be interesting to see how Prep responds in 2026 with rivals Landon and Bullis graduating mega classes.

what kind of "questionable personal decisions" - or do you mean "personnel" decisions? I've seen many complaints about the HC (generally) and the Q-Collar coach, but please elaborate on the personal decisions!

LOL. SJC #1. Zero days off for the SJC fluffers. Much more likely that the program continues its downward plunge toward oblivion.

What schools are the SJC transfers going to?

1. Landon - until proven otherwise. Best coached team in the area.

2. SJC - 2026 class hasn't proved anything yet. Will next year finally be the year?

3. Gonzaga - Eagles' didn't graduate much in 2025, they will be back

4. Bullis - despite the loss of the 21 class, the Bulldogs will remain very athletic especially in the midfield.

5. Georgetown Prep - will next spring be Urick's last year.

6. Good Counsel - Falcons bring back a strong 2026 class and are battle tested

7. PVI - large 2026 class that has been tested. Coaching is suspect

8. Episcopal - the Mad Lax Maroon I'm sure will pick up some summer transfers to plug in some holes.

9. Ryken - a program is finally being restored in southern Maryland

10. DeMatha - despite graduation of 2024 class, Stags are well coached. First year HC should be Washington Post COY.

Yup those sjc kids need to keep their egos in check especially the 2026 class. Egotistical kids like that need to fix themselves before they get cut in college.
