Now, she's all stressed about the VA SOL. I would think it's easier to get advanced on the VA SOL than to get above 91% on the Iowa test. I told her that and she said she heard the opposite. What do you all think? (Either way, she doesn't need to stress. She will end up in the class that is right for her and all I want is for her to learn these foundational math concepts well.)
Not what you asked but if DD is already this worked up in 6th, she would do well to take math 7 honors and not algebra even if she gets score to allow it. Take algebra in 8 not 7 if already stresses about school at 12 years old.
