Takes time to get everyone caught up coming from different elementary schools. I went to magnet high school abroad. Every kid in that small country had learned the exact same thing at the exact same time. There was still big difference when it came to knowledge among the 30 students in our class.

Let’s see if this is still true after this year’s results come in. Lots of positive changes. Also, for advanced math coursework 91% are proficient in Algebra 1 and 100% proficient in Geometry.

This. There's a new program that provides extra support to students below grade level. Early results are positive.

As a parent, I'm not aware that Hardy has SEM. On the other hand, I've never understood exactly what SEM is other than a buzzword.

It's nice that Hardy has SEM too.

I have a kid at Hardy and want to say how great it has been. The principal is incredible - energetic and a fantastic leader (formerly at Deal, Ballou, and elsewhere so has seen many contexts), the accelerated courses are awesome and the kids are great. Of course there are downs - DCPS being DCPS. But overall it’s been great my kid has been challenged and has learned a lot.
