Have you seen that show Drunk History? It is a really great premise.

I have not been, but I’m an actor and I know folks who have done this show.

It’s fantastic, but it’s not as funny if you’re not pretty familiar with at least the most popular Shakespeare plays.

Loved the one in NYC. We laughed hilariously and it was a nice change from a traditional show.

Went in NYC, and it was a blast.

I’ve gone to the one in New York. It was funny and fun. Once is enough though. It’s very much an audience participation thing—if you think you’d be embarrassed wearing a prop or being singled out for a brief activity, you might not like it.

I saw it when they did Macbeth. It was fun and we were sober! They don't overly drink.

We went with a group of about 20, all couples, and all thought it was hilarious. A bit bawdy, but we were all adults - I would definitely not bring tweens or teens (inappropriate for tweens, teens would be embarrassed seeing with parents).

I thought it was great! Particularly if you know Shakespeare well, it’s a fun evening. Agree with PP that if you are uptight or easily offended, probably best to skip.

I was excited to go and it wasn’t as funny as I thought. The venue is really small and we had seats off to the side. It was just an uncomfortable set up as we were so close.
I think the audience also needs to have some drinks to enjoy it.

I think if you are uptight, offended easily and judgemental, then it probably is not a good choice.

So, not for me then.

I have heard the show is absolutely hilarious, particularly if you like shakespeare and Renaissance festivals.

I have heard this from drinkers and teetolers alike.

I think if you are uptight, offended easily and judgemental, then it probably is not a good choice.

But if you like to have fun and laugh, with a good sense of humor, it is probably a great night out.

My family loves Improv Shakespeare, but I can’t get into the premise of Drunk Shakespeare. It just seems unhealthy and not funny.

It’s a show at the DC arts center - on 18th street (Adams Morgan I assume ) seems like it might be a fun improv type comedy show. Just looking for something new and different to do besides a typical stand up comedy show or theater performance.
