Honestly, Savannah gives me the creeps.
Never been there but that is how I feel about Charleston.

Yup. I grew up there and never tire of wandering around.

Does “wandering” imply a slower pace? Charleston would tick all of those boxes for me. Carmel-by-the-Sea is dreamy, too and would probably be great for everything except the nightlife. You could go wine tasting instead.

Sam Francisco for sure. I lived there for years and spent many days walking that city. The best memories!

San Francisco by far. You can walk most of the city, across the bridge, go to Sausalito and back on ferry. So many different neighborhoods and great food.

What is your favorite US city to wander around in foot? Looking for somewhere with good restaurants, cafes, some nightlife, cute/unique shops, reasonably safe. This is for a 3 day weekend so access to nature for a hike or something outdoorsy one day is a plus.
