Some highlights from Reddit:
People who live in cities or have garbage pick-up service are valid in their views, but kind of elitist because they don't understand what it means to go to the dump.
I don't buy my kids toys; they only get sticks, rocks, and dirt, and anyone who does is kind of elitist and also supports cheap Chinese imports instead of small businesses.
Technology and STEM-based learning is antithetical to the idea of experienced-based, hands-on learning
People in her district largely don't care about Trump's tariff policy and they probably won't be affected because who knows if the tariffs will even stick around.
The "8%" of people on the "far left" who criticize her are either paid, out of touch, or rich enough to not have to miss work to go to her town halls.
The "8%" of people the far right who constantly contacted her about Hunter Biden's laptop were sort of annoying but also had a great point about digital security.
Her washing machine is from the 50's, therefore the CHIPS act is pointless because washing machines shouldn't need computer chips. Everyone should just buy them on Craigslist from each other forever.
She's the congresswoman from Washington District 4, exurbian Portlandia. Very Cascadia.
West Coast version of (younger version of) Manchin / Blue Dog Democrat.
She wants to shut down USA and return to frontier life.
Maybe she's living her truth. Maybe her constitutients do too?
She's not an advocate for suburban and urban lifestyles; that's for sure.
Ear Warning: Ezra Klein doesn't know how to work his audio equipment.

Admittedly we come from very different backgrounds, but I was at a loss on why people praise her. Perhaps she reflects the emotion of her constituents, but her ideas are out of the mainstream and I don’t see how they benefit the generally. What am I missing? I like garbage pickup!
Thank you for this content-free post about something you heard but won't share with us
