I wonder who came up with the lottery thing.. very disappointing that they held the highest scoring kids back.
If they dont think one time test and one marking period mean much, then look at the historical data or based on applications.

ELC is being discontinued county wide. Highly recommend finding out what your school is doing next year and 5th ( some schools will have it one more year, and the replacement sounds like it will vary dramatically school to school in how it’s implemented).

If you haven’t been accepted then you plan as if you won’t be. If kid gets a spot later you can then decide what to do.

Yes. We got a spot in oak view CES after school was out in June 2023

It’s on a rolling basis. If your child gets a spot take it while you try to find out the fate of ELC at your school- you can always give it up later.

A few years ago, people got offers throughout the summer as well as after school started. The chance of getting a spot in low, so for sibling purposes, just presume you are staying in your home school.

Do they give students offers as spots come up or walt until it's almost the start of the new school year? Really hard to plan this stuff with a sibling
