I had predicted that people would miss the lockdown once they had to commute, wear professional clothes, socialize and entertain, attend weddings/birthdays/funerals, pay for parking, work out of an office etc.

But no, people cried about missing dining out and having their kids go to school. Well, now you cannot afford to buy the food in restaurants AND your kid is still a problem.

Do you remember how much money and time you saved working from home?

And if you were the absolute stupid person who adopted a pit bull during lockdown…well, that’s a hell of your own making.

Sorry you can’t function as an adult. I’d pack it in now.

Oh poor you.
Say the rest of us who’ve been working in person all along. Sorry I don’t sympathize.

Not OP, and I'm not whining about it .... but I feel the pain.

I get the argument above that we did this before so we can do this again... but what people don't get is that even though we have returned to the office, office environment isn't and will not ever return to precovid. We now have better and more efficient tools like zoom and teams, we now have employees that have spread out (aka during covid we learned that we could hire employees at other locations and it worked fine), we have reduced our real estate footprint and our contractors are no longer on site with us.

I go into the office everyday, and everyday I sit in my office all day on teams calls. I am less productive and I work less hours then I did 100 days ago.

True true. We figured out a better way to achieve work/life balance but because we were able to survive before we should definitely go back to that despite there being few, if any, material benefits to the old way. Good point PP!

Newsflash - some people didn't have kids before 2020, some people weren't commuting to the office before 2020, some people weren't married or living in their current geographical location. 5 years is a long time, major life changes do happen in that time period!

It's sucks sure. I never really WFH and I really enjoyed less traffic and being able to get to activities early without issue. Now there are too many ppl on the roads.

The traffic; the schedule; the hardship on my family (my kids!!). This is just awful.

How can trump do this to us?? I mean, just WHY??!?
