Also, she mainly took honors courses in 9th and 10th, as her school only allowed 1AP in sophomore year.
Equally important, she did well on her APs (all 5s, and one 4 so far).
It's not about the number. It's about the story conveyed by the coursework combined with other aspects of application. Especially if your school is known for a bit of grade inflation (which most are post-COVID). Multiple proof points, including strong SAT/ACT scores, rigor, AP exam scores, and a solid essay, can help tell the story.
