Get the robot a spiked "coat" to cover it to prevent pets from attacking or laying on it. Or put some tinfoil taped to the top of it.

Cats hate tinfoil for various reasons.



Oh, he doesn't attack or lay on it. He just to lie next to it to get his back rubbed.
