We stayed at the Empire Hotel (near Lincoln Center on the UWS) after closing on the sale of an apartment earlier than we could close and get into the new apartment. They had hinged doors.

Sliders are the norm in small spaces like NYC

Look on the hotel and room website before you book and see what the bathroom door looks like if you can tell.

Probably only going to find it in luxury priorities like Waldorf Astoria for Hilton.

Or, call the hotel and ask.

I have never been in a hotel room that didn't have a bathroom door.

Does this exist? Hilton Honors hotel near Times Square with a real bathroom door. Nothing fancy--Hampton, Hilton Garden, DoubleTree, whatever.

Do some hotels have those sliding barn door things in only some of their rooms but not all, or if I see a photo with one in it, that means that whole hotel is cursed with them?
