That’s called kala namak in India (literally means black salt) and is an integral part of chaat, pani puri and summer cooling drinks

Their garlic salt in the grinder is really good too--awesome to use on steak before you grill it.

I just bought their spicy pink salt with crushed red chili pepper & can't stop raving about it - so I thought I'd recommend it to my fellow DCUMers. I'm using the salt on hard-boiled eggs, chicken, pasta, fish, straight out of the container...

I'm not typically a TJ's shopper, but I was in the neighborhood. When something amazing like this comes out, does it tend to go away after a short time? I'm trying to decide whether I need to hoard these puppies.
