Yes, Cooper has AAP classes which are separated from GE. But it doesn't mean AAP class always get stronger teacher.

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) Advanced Academic Programs offer several types of challenging learning experiences to meet the needs of a broad range of advanced learners in middle schools. Advanced Academic services are implemented in middle schools using a school-based model through Honors coursework and Full-Time AAP Services. Middle School Honors classes are open enrollment. Eligibility for Full-Time AAP services is determined through a central screening committee.

Rocky Run has separate AAP and honors classes as well.

Cooper separates the classes between students in full time AAP and honors. Only students accepted by the AAP committee are put into the AAP classes. They do not principal place students into AAP in middle school.

I am not a Cooper parent, but I would be surprised if Cooper didn't offer AAP classes. Have you looked at the schools webiste? You can look at the offered classes.

It might depend on the Center school. Carson has seperate AAP classes that students enroll in, they are labeled AA versus H for Honors.
