I don’t think a belly button is sexual. Nor a shoulder. I let my dd wear these things because she’s comfortable in her body and I never was, I’m glad she has that confidence. If another kid gets turned on by her shoulder that’s not something I can control. People have foot fetishes but we all wear sandals and flip flops in the summer.

That’s trashy behavior and days much about your parenting if you freely allow it. During the summer at home by themselves fine, but in school around pubescent boys? Hell no!

Yes the middle school girls in my kid’s UMC middle school have their midriffs showing and their actual behind cheeks hanging out of their shorts.

At the beginning of sixth, I didn’t see this. But by end of 6th and into 7th, yes, most the girls dress like this. None of it looks inappropriate to me. The cropped shirts aren’t super cropped. And either the off the shoulder look is generally over a tank top or a sports bra with think straps. I think it is fine. I wore less in 7th grade in 1985s

Yes this is what middle school girls wear at middle schools for the poor. (Ie where the cheapest house on the block is 1.4M).

They are wearing shorts under the cheerleading skirt.

I take and pick up my 6th grader to her private every day. Not one girl dresses like that. But in publics, they are mini-adults.

She insists that this is the fashion in her school.

Do middle schoolers that young actually wear these things? The kids I have seen haven't in the bus stops.
