This is definitely a you thing. Now that I’ve aged, I’d say at least half of all women between 30-60 are attractive to me. Sometimes it’s just things like a friendly attitude, a happy face, some flair or style - it’s not all about figure you know.
Well, in a sense, I agree. Because I dress neatly, work out a little, eat a healthy diet, and am not overweight, I find those same things attractive in women. If you're finding half of women aged 30-60 attractive because of "happy face" well...that's usually a sign that you've already given up on your health.

It depends on where you hang out. I’m a woman and would say 70% of the ladies at Equinox objectively have really nice bodies.
On the street in WV town or Minneapolis 1 out of 100 looks decent and in shape

so, would a healthy, in shape 40 year old woman in khakis and a polo and no makeup be attractive?
Or do you need women to be in a skirt and form fitting shirt and heels with makeup? or tight fitting active wear?
I'm guessing the latter, because I NEVER see men looking at simple, low maintenance, conservatively dressed women (even if they are beautiful)

There, I've said it. If you are nice to me I'll think you are good looking.
