Ask at gyms for a used treadmill. Talk one into selling you their used one for a good discount, and they get seed money to purchase a new replacement. Win-win.

And you get a durable industrial use one that you can run on and abuse. Those good ones average $3000-4000+ when new. Might get one half price or less. Nordic, LifeFitness, Woodway, etc. are good brands.

+100 we had to hire 123Junk to get it out of the basement when it died. They are heavy and require assembly.

Used treadmills aren't really a thing unless you are OK with getting one that's 10+ years old. They are such a PITA to move that most people would rather let them collect dust than go through the hassle of selling one.

Do you regularly use the treadmill at the gym? Because spending what is likely to be at least 2k, you want to make sure you actually will use it. Lots of treadmills and stationery bikes turn into expensive clothes racks.

How are you going to use it? Treadmill recommendations are going to be totally different if you are walking on it versus running 30+ miles a week if your marathon pace is 7 minutes or less. Wildly different needs

I would get a walking pad. $200 you can get a really nice one.
