I’m still not sure why you need to have special drop off pajamas. You just get in the driver seat, drive to his job, he opens the passenger door and gets out and you drive back home.

Another “no” vote. I would not get out of the car in those and I would not even ride in the car in those. Some of the PPs offered good alternatives.

Absolutely not. And if your kids are old enough to be left home alone while you drive with DH to work they are old enough to get themselves ready for school.

I'd wear black leggings / tshirts and sweats you already have instead of shopping for cute ridiculous pajamas when you have one car and someone who works in retail.

I would be embarrassed to go outside in the PJs you linked. They are clearly PJs and belong at home. Just because other people wear them out doesn't make it ok.

Sweats would absolutely look more appropriate than PJs.

What about a travel lounge set or a dress?

Sorry, but this looks worse than a tshirt and sweats. You would be better off with mismatched sweats and an old shirt than a deliberate pajama set. The former has plausible deniability that you slept in it and rolled out of bed for drop off.

No I would not get out of my car to switch drivers in those pjs you linked. I’d prefer jeans and a hoodie at 5:45. I’d also do match sweats if you care so much about having an outfit. I would not though.

Why don’t you just drive? Then you don’t have to switch drivers? My DH doesn’t decide what I can wear.

One car city family and DH works retail so first drop off is his at 5:45 AM. I’ve seen other people drop off his colleagues in pajamas so I bought a pair of “drop off friendly” presentable pajamas as I return home to get dressed before work. I don’t get dressed for work until after I’m back home because I still have to brush the kids teeth, wash them up and make breakfast which 9/10 times something gets on my work clothes.





DH disagrees, he doesn’t own lounge clothing, jeans, or sneakers so his attire is always more formal but I do feel more put together than in my baggy sweats and t-shirts which I had been wearing. I’m briefly walking around the vehicle to switch drivers which is the only time someone would see top and bottom. Most of my lounge wear is mismatched, I don’t have any sets or paired lounge attire.
