A family members baby fell of the couch years later they started having seizures doctors asked of head injuries and family member told them about the couch incident and yup it could be related all those years later. Get the baby checked out .

OP, when my son was about two months old I took a shower and sprinted out because I heard his wails. We were in hotel room and my husband had miscalculated when placing him on the bed and he fell on the floor. He was totally fine! It happens to everyone.

My baby rolled off the bed at 6 months and, like yours, cried briefly but was easily consoled. We called the pediatrician who told us that as long as she was consoled and didn't immediately fall asleep, she was fine.

I took my nine month old baby to the children’s ER because she fell off the changing table and I was worried she bruised a rib or something.

They were really nice. There’s no harm if you’re worried.

My first fell off a bed at about 6 months and my second fell down a flight of stairs (I caught her before hitting the tile floor) at 15 months. Both were 100% fine but I still have the trauma of both. They are fine and your worry shows you’re a loving parent.

My first rolled down the stairs while DH was watching her. She also catapulted herself out of her stroller face first while MIL was watching her. She's no worse for wear 22 years later. Clearly my husband's side of the family was lacking in their baby watching abilities.

She's fine. But you definitely need to address the issue about your husband using this against you.

I would call the pediatrician to put your mind at ease.

When my DS was 18 mos. he and I were playing a game on the sofa and somehow he just fell over. We were in a corporate housing and I hadn't childproofed the coffee table where he hit his head.

Of course I felt terrible- sometimes, he absently touches that tiny facial scar. This is your first parenting fail, but it won't be your last.

Your baby is totally fine. You don't need to call the doctor or watch for head injury. Her skull is fully closed around the brain. You can let her out of your lap.

I'm feeling like the worst mom and also spiralling that I ruined my baby. I was adjusting the carrier and put her on the couch while I stood in front and adjusted. I thought my legs were blocking her but in a second she fell back off the couch and on to a foam playmat that we use as a rug.

She's 8 months old and never been hurt. She cried for 30-60 seconds and then calmed down and has been acting normal. I don't see a mark on her but I can't imagine how she doesn't have a bruise.

My husband is out of town all week and of course this happens to me. I don't even want to tell him because he will use it against me. Oh remember you dropped the baby. Ugh. I'm trying to remind myself babies are tough and 8 months isn't a newborn anymore.
