We had a series of French Au pairs and they all wanted to go to Wilmington NC because of One Tree Hill 🤷‍♀️

After getting really into watching The Yorkshire Vet, we planned a family trip to Yorkshire but it got postponed by covid. I still hope to make it there one day!

I have relatives who went to Scotland because they were really into Outlander and had a great time.

We visited Castle Doune for it's connection to Monty Python and the Holy Grail. They even provided coconut shells to gallop up the path. When we came home, my friend (who is not a Python fan) asked if we'd visited the castle. She's a big Outlander fan and I hadn't realized it was also filmed there. Games of Thrones used it too.

Haven't gone (it's really far!), but the limited series Top of the Lake (season 1) made want to go to Queenstown New Zealand and the surrounding area.

Already mentioned, I agree that Scotland for “Outlander” and Olympic Natl Park for “Twilight” are great. I will add Astoria, Oregon for “Goonies” and Albuquerque for “Breaking Bad.” Albuquerque isn’t great, but “Breaking Bad” is my all time favorite.

We didn’t go because of the books/movies, but my young teen was thrilled to stop in Forks while we were visiting Olympic National Park. There’s still hyping Twilight, lots of photo opps.

I’ve been to (and loved) Cornwall before, but Doc Martin makes me want to go back.

I'd like to go to the Twin Peaks locale.
When I was a teen we went to Boothbay Harbor in Maine because my sister was obsessed with the musical Carousel.

I went to Oman because of an amazing race episode years ago. Such a cool country!

Not firsthand, but I’d love to go to New Zealand because of the LOTR movies!

Have you ever visited somewhere because of a TV show or movie?

I can recommend a visit to West Bay, Dorset aka Broadchurch. Indeed, the rest of Dorset is also stunning.
