No, WCAC is also technically only financial aid...no athletic scholarships. At least, SJC is this way.

However, it's easier to plead your case as to why you need an FA scholarship. They will evaluate special situations and can usually find you something.

Are you saying that you want an Athletic Scholarship for High School football for St. John's or Gonzaga?

You attend and through that meet the coach and discuss what opportunities there might be. Discuss the need to re-class and see what schools will be good for doing that etc.

You don’t look beyond showing interest in the private schools - go to their games, go to any camps they hold. If they want you, you will know.

Technically, I don’t think private high schools are permitted to give athletic scholarships. It’s usually disguised as some kind of need based or other financial aid. Not sure how a player might get on a school’s radar for football. For basketball, soccer, and other sports with significant amounts of high level competition outside of a school team, I think coaches get to see and meet players there which can result in players being asked to come to certain schools.
