I mean, most middle age men are fat. They're not working out. So, pretty common.

Very common though most won't admit it. Marriage is more than just about humping.

No it's always because they think they don't have any better options.

This is common. As people age, they generally have sex less often than when they were young until it eventually dwindles to hardly ever.

But, maybe they exchange a kiss or a pat or a hug or cuddle. In other words, no sex is not marriage ending.

Do either of you still any related needs? Or just no interest in each other?

Not right to be platonic in marriage unless due to a medical condition preventing anything

If you are a horrible, nasty person (like ^^), then you are likely the cause ...

It’s often because the wife is no longer desirable or the sex has become a monotonous routine. You put that guy in front of a sexy hot young woman and he will go on her like crazy.

It’s very hard for many men to have sex with the same woman for years and still find excitement. Not impossible, but very difficult. New things are always very exciting.

It’s not uncommon. It’s difficult to talk about and folks tend to think they’re the only one going through it. You’re not. I don’t have answers and perimenopause has not dampened my desire. His lack of interest has really messed up my self esteem though! Working on that. I miss physical intimacy desperately. I get affection but no passion. We’re 50 and it’s been a problem for a decade.

Rare

In almost all cases it is the female that gains weight and stops wanting sex.

Then the relationship goes downhill

We see this in all races.
