Subject: Are there libertarians who don't see themselves as "strong" and "self-reliant"?
Agree libertarians I’ve met are typically experience a greater degree of stability in those areas.
The libertarian likely will explain they’ve “pulled themselves up by the bootstraps” or “worked really hard.” This may well true; but many don’t have the awareness or understanding that they’ve benefited from a “born on third base” scenario.

lol no. All of the libertarians I’ve known (and it’s quite a few) have been men from fairly well-off backgrounds. Easy to be libertarian when you come from a stable family, already have resources and support, and are young and healthy! Some have actually moderated over the years; big libertarians I knew in college and law school are now more like moderate independents.

Subject: Are there libertarians who don't see themselves as "strong" and "self-reliant"?
Just curious. A huge part of libertarian identity is seeing the world between tough, self-reliant individuals (like themselves of course) and "wusses" who depend on the state.
I'm curious if you've ever met a libertarian who admits they probably themselves get crushed under a "pure" cut-throat Social Darwinist economy and society?
