I was glad that I made a full batch because after the colonoscopy I didn't want to eat much for a few days. I thought I'd be ravenous and eager to go back to real food, but that wasn't the case. Ymmv.

Thanks. I may try this!

I would rather eat nothing than drink chicken broth. Shudder.

I drank the boxed chicken broth. I think the salt and the broth really helped me.

I got wonton soup from a local Chinese restaurant. I drained the solid parts and drank the broth. It obviously has a high sodium content so it helped replenish sodium levels and felt like I had something to eat. No problem with the colonoscopy drinking strained wonton soup.

I used Kettle and Fire organic chicken bone broth. They also have a beef version at Whole Foods. I also had a natural jello I found on Amazon and a fruit popsicle or two. But yes the bone broth really was what made me feel ok as the protein satiates.

My DH drank the Zoup brand bone broth before his colonoscopy. Having the salty protein was a nice balance for all the sweet drinks. His rules were nothing red, so the brown broth was fine.

Just had a colonoscopy this week. The liquids do not have to be actually clear - yellow or beige is fine. Honey would be fine. Just no red dye.

Remember that they tell you tea and coffee are fine, and those are definitely not clear.

I had chicken broth, lemon jello, tea, etc. No issues with prep.

I made gelatin with white grape juice. It was tasty. I just googled "fruit juice gelatin" and most of the recipes looked pretty similar. I don't remember which one I used.

It’s literally 24 hours.
Agree with the PP to do Gatorade. You’ll be ok.

Anyone know which brands of Bone broth (not regular broth) are safe/clear? Dr.s office couldn't tell me. I remember bone broth was how I survived prep because the protein made the hunger manageable. I don't want to make my own. I recall some brands looked too murky so I had to put it aside in the fridge.

Also, if anyone has some natural jello recipes they used let me know. Is honey safe? I recall regular store jello made me feel ill. I was thinking of making a lemon honey jello.
