But the sport also matters. As a scholarship athlete a student will spend countless hours with the athletic program. It will be the shaping force in their lives. One could argue D1 sports shouldn’t be this way but that doesn’t change reality.
The poster did not indicate which sport is at hand. For example if it is baseball, Wake presents far differently than BC. The weather alone is a huge factor. If an athlete has improved and is comfortable with indoor practices and batting cages, maybe BC is a fit. Really need to understand each program. And the athlete’s goals.

The list is all over the place but is seems these are the top placers:
Virginia Tech (free)
Wake Forest ($15k)
Boston College ($17k)
Colorado (free)
Major is undecided but interested in health sciences or business.
Are your $$$ figures based on sports scholarships? What is the sport?
I would take Wake Forest baseball in a heartbeat...definitely over BC or Colorado. VT is a bit closer.
I think you should understand the alumni groups at these schools and for the sport. Some schools have rabid alumni groups that really go the extra mile to get kids internships and FT jobs...others not so much.
