Carleton and St. Olaf are both very well known for math, and are in the same town. If looking to LACs for math, check them out.

Swarthmore or Amherst. You can take advanced courses at Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and UPenn when they are not offered at Swarthmore. And at UMass when they are not offered at Amherst.

In terms of undergraduate awards, per capita enrollment in grad school, and faculty, I wouldn't, but that is up to an individual

Williams. Amherst students can piggy back off UMass' course offerings.

Pomona/Mudd are the answer. Williams if you need to stay northeast.

Math is the most popular major at Amherst and my math major holds the faculty in very high regard. They also have the unlimited curriculum of UMass at their disposal.

Williams is known for math, but the other two are solid.

For a kid that's already taken some advanced math classes (linear alg, multivar calculus in high school). Any LACs has a strong math program?
