I don't know what brand we have but we still have our gutters cleaned 4x a year ( we live next to a forest conservation with huge trees that drip on our house)

Most of them are a big scam. However, the primary thing is the size of the holes to allow water to actually enter your guards versus being too big to allow seeds and other debris to clog them. I don't remember what we installed, but they've been in for 13 years and we've never had a problem or had to clean them.

There's not a zero maintenance solution for gutter/ leaf guards no matter what they claim. Gutter Helmet was notorious for having predatory pricing, I know Leaf Filter was fighting a class action lawsuit at one point over product performance. I had generic ones put on with my new roof but still have someone come out once a year to blow them out give the roof a look over while they are up there.

Don't get either. The leaves end up getting caked on, blocking water from going in the gutters.

Just get your gutters cleaned regularly. You're going to have to do that anyway with some leaf blocking material.

We had LeafFilter come out to give estimate. Costly but claim maintenance free gutters - the mesh system appears to really prevent any debris from getting into gutters.

We also need a new roof and one estimate offered Alu-Rex T-Rex guards at of course a much lower price. A simple metal screen with holes is what it appears to be.

Does anyone have experience with either??
