We just did this but my kids are 10 and 8. We did Jamestown Settlement (not the historic site...the recreation museum) and bought the combo pass to include the Revolutionary War Museum in Yorktown. My kids loved both. We had dinner at one of the taverns in historic Williamsburg and that was pricey but fun. Start looking at reservations asap...I waited a bit and my choices were limited. We didn't actually pay to do Williamsburg, much of it is free to walk around/shop and there are a few buildings you can go into like the church ($1 donation). I didn't feel like we were missing much by not having paid tickets to some of the demonstration sites. I think if we'd have had an extra day we would have done Jamestown historic site and the Yorktown battlefield but it seemed that some of the route through Yorktown battlefield was under construction so I'd research what's open first. I think I also would have looked into a ghost tour. We saw a few happening while leaving dinner and they looked fun. Lots of cute places to eat lunch in Williamsburg...The Cheese Shop, Aromas and Retros to name a few that we tried/saw/read about.

Don’t forget glass house when visiting the fun Jamestown. Yorktown battlefield was a pleasant surprise for us.

There are 2 different Jamestown sites. The one where the actual settlement was built has less to see. The recreation, quite nearby, has a lot to see including replicas of the original 3 ships from 1607.

Visiting Yorktown Battlefield, where the Revolutionary War ended, is easy and also a good option. VA residents can buy an annual pass for both at the cost of single admission, but only if bought inline in advance.

Captain George's Seafood Buffet is expensive but good quality. They put cheap food towards the front. Expensive food like crab legs hides at the back.

Spending 2 days here with kids 14 and 10. We will do colonial and historic areas of course.
No Busch Gardens for us.
Any other must-do spots we should hit? Restaurants that shouldn’t be missed?
I have major FOMO once I leave a place and realize there were places I should have seen.
