Congratulations! My kid was accepted and visited and it’s definitely a contender. The price is great too with the Border Benefit!

There are two direct flights a day on Southwest for about $150. And there are some American flights that are direct from National. The Louisville airport is 10 minutes from campus.

I’m reviving this thread because my senior has decided to attend UofL. We recently visited and he loved it. He has many schools to choose from but UofL checked all his boxes and it’s incredibly affordable. It’s easy to travel between there and DC too. I’m so glad a family friend put it on his radar because it’s not a school people discuss often.

It isn't DCUM popular because of its ranking, but it is a solid school to consider. It has rolling admissions (no essay) so it is a great safety option if you are concerned about not getting into Pitt, great athletics, and you can see online how much merit you will get based on grades/scores/region.

Good luck to all in their journey!

It's on our safety list. They give amazing merit especially to the kids in the DMV area with a certain gpa. Also big spirit, big sports school in an urban area.
