What is the status of the affected immigrants? Are these people who are not US citizens, but are living and working here legally? Are these immigrants who have already been granted US citizenship? Is it happening to immigrants regardless of citizenship/residency status?

So these are people who are working and paying into the system. Well, I guess they can just take cash and not pay into the system, then.

I wonder if this is what happened with a coworker. I know on Friday she was fighting with her bank because Payroll told her that her direct deposit wasn't going through. She's a naturalized citizen. She came to the US at age 1 from Syria and became naturalized at like 18, I think she once told us.

Anyway, it sounded like her bank closed her account. I heard her tell our supervisor that she needed to take the rest of the day off on Friday to go "prove to the morons that I'm not fing dead." She's on the calendar this week for PTO for spring break with her kids so I can't find out what happened. Dang.

This administration is unbelievably cruel.

Now that I think about it, he already did do this to an 82 year old man. The man's bank told him he was dead. He said he was not dead because he was alive.

You really can't make this kind of stupid up.

Musk had taken away this 82 yo man's social security. It is unclear to me if the man ever received it again.
