565 days until the midterm elections. With the right effort, we can flip both the house and senate back to D.

You have to ACTUALLY disrupt their life.

People did that during Trump 1 and look how it worked out...

The whole city and region are paying for that now, and it seems clear a lot of what's going on is motivated by revenge. But you guys just keep poking the bear...

Annoyingly the 50501 site has not noted any additional big protests on Saturday, April 19, the next national day of action. The only event they do have is a protest at the VP‘s house which seems like a really bad idea and possibly not very effective even if you don’t get arrested.

Is anyone tracking any plans to actually demonstrate on mass near the capital or the Washington monument this Saturday? I have a group ready to go, but we don’t want to go by ourselves.

With the latest development to unlawfully hold Kilmer Garcia in incommunicado in prison in El Salvador despite a Supreme Court order, we are now in a place where disappearing Americans is the next step. We need to fight like banshees for our democracy now if we’re going to keep it. Ready to show up on Saturday. Is anyone tracking any mass demonstration opportunities in DC?

Because protesting will change this government's policy? Yes, it might, but probably not in the way you hope for.

Don't be counterproductive or, less politely, stupid, no matter how self-righteous you expect to feel in a crowd of like-minded simpletons.

Hahahahaha!!!

Yes!!! Do this!!!!

Because eventually they’re going to get tired of your stunts and make an example out of a few hundred of you, and you’re going to find yourselves in Guantanamo for a few months “while DHS carefully sorts out any possible terrorist connections”.

You’ll get back here eventually, probably even with charges dismissed. But only after you’re behind on your rent/mortgage/evicted/foreclosed, have lost your job, your kids are in custody of CPS, your vehicle repossessed if you still have a car note…. And of course you’ll be on the TSA no fly list.

So yes, keeping raising the protest bar! Please!!!!

Do have any idea what it means to show up without a permit? Or if any other group with a permit is scheduled to use the space? Or if arranging for a police presence— such as the last one had — is required?

I agree that there are many people who would be interested in attending. I’m not sure how — or if — the holidays will impact attendance though.

I was just reading similar posts on Imgur and Reddit. It seems that 50501 is suggesting local protests. I take that to mean that no speakers have been scheduled and no permitting has been arranged for downtown DC.
I’m concerned about losing momentum here.
I saw listings for protests at various Tesla showrooms, but nothing for downtown DC.
