I have this 12lb one as well and like it. I like the pouch for my phone when I’m on a walk. I find it very snug and secure. And I have a petite frame so that’s not always the case for things like this. It can get a little uncomfortable on my shoulder blades because I’m kinda bony there so I don’t have much padding but overall it’s comfortable and I like the extra level of resistance it provides on walks. I would not start with 12 if you’re not already quite fit/muscular or have osteoporosis though. More like 6-8

Hi - do you happen to know which you have? Amazon seems to have hundreds of them

It’s a workout!

Can you recommend your vest - maybe a link?

OP here. The Target vest is horrid. Just flaps about. Any recs for one that doesn’t just hang completely on shoulders? Maybe that hugs the upper back so weight is more evenly distributed.

Thanks everyone. Going to give it a try. Will se see how 8-lbs feels to start and adjust as needed from there.

It's fine. I wear mine occasionally when I'm walking or lifting. I've worn it to Orange Theory when I couldn't run and just walked with it.

Depending on how fit you are 8 lbs may be too light. I have a 15lb one and probably should have gone up to 20 lbs.

I can't lift weights right now, so doing classes like Barre 3 but without the hand weights. I have added resistance circle bands when appropriate and doing lots of squats and bridge lifts, but want a bit more resistance.

I use an 8 pound vest to take brisk walks outside to make it a more intense workout. I got it off Amazon. It is very comfortable to wear.

I use mine for leg day and cycling. I think 8lb is a good staring point- just be sure to watch your posture so you don’t hurt your back.

I have elbow injuries that need time to heal so can’t hold weights right now. Would a weighted vest be a good investment? Thinking for online barre classes, walks, stair climbing. Target has an 8-lb one that has good reviews.

Thoughts?
