You are likely much, more logical than these two. I never saw Vanderpump, but they both seem to have bad judgement as far as riding the social media gravy train at any cost including their privacy.
I think the reason they did it is because there was an incredible amount of speculation about their kid because he did not interact with them or speak in the videos they posted on social media.

I don't think you can win in this situation. For example, there have been rumors that Beyoncé's son is autistic and/or has some sort of disability. I've read plenty of - why is she hiding him away; why doesn't she admit it; they are ashamed, etc. I can think of another person (who I'm sure you've never heard of - Rapper Blueface's kid). There appears to be some sort of issues with the child but the mother has never spoken about it or addressed the rumor's.
