On her own my DD gets up an hour earlier to do sprints and a juggling series every morning since she was 12. If the goal is to maximize your abilities this seems like a great plan. I just make sure she has the correct fuel and goes to bed a a decent hour, even that part she has taken the reins of by now at 14. Accolades might not be there compared to her peers, but you know what if she can commit to this at 14 she will make an awesome life for herself with or without soccer

Lol, your kid sounds like mine, and I feel the same way about it. Good for them! That kind of drive and discipline will help them go far in life.

And we wonder why our region sucks and gets no call-ups. Poindexter parents who never sweat a day in their life and worry about overuse when their kid has a passion and just wants to train.

Why do folks feel so obliged to tell people what they're doing is wrong rather than answer a question. Do you feel so confident in your parenting that you need to get it out there? Honestly, why?

What is your goal? This seems like a recipe for overuse injuries and burnout.

Will take follow-up actions if there is enough interest. Ideally ages are 10-16. I am a parent looking to put together a high level group of players. I know players are training independently but it would be nice if we could put something together that is club neutral for top players to train in the AM before school.
