The deadline isn't until Sunday

I thought the deadline was Friday 4/11?

How do you decide then?

CES is located at our home school, so no downside to having DC try it and withdraw if need be. It's been a great experience so far.

CES is at our local school as well, and we are local CES program. I was a bit surprised that some families from other school attend and some families are in lottery/not selected attend as well. About 70 percent of selected families did not attende our local CES open house, maybe they don't care of they could not make it. It was really odd.

Wow that’s a lot of families not attending the open house. do you mind sharing what CES school you are at?

They know CES isn't worth it if they're already in a good school. It's not STEM. It's not the top kids.

Or maybe are very familiar with program due to siblings previously in CES. Or need to save their very few annual vacation days for next week’s spring break travel that has been planned for months. Or a dozen other reasons that aren’t particularly odd.

Or maybe people have to work and can't take 2 hours off in the middle of the day to attend an open house knowing the slide deck will be provided later.

So technically you can accept now and if you change your mind at any time, whether it be right before school starts or into the school year, withdraw? Doesn’t that create a big burden on the CES school, the home school, and the family that fills the open spot to make last minute preparations?

Deadline for accepting slots is Friday. Folks can accept and withdraw at any point though so slots could open up all the way until back to school.

Don’t count on getting in though and plan to make the best of whatever enrichment they offer at home school.

Does anyone know when the deadline is for accepting CES spots and how soon they draw kids from the wait pool to fill the declined spots? Also, I'm guessing there aren't any further open houses, right? So how do families make the decision whether to accept the spot if they are offered it in a later round? Do you just visit the school individually or what? (Would be Oak View in our case.)
