Not sure if it’s available in the states, but Tre-Stella makes an excellent dairy but lactose free mozzarella ball. It’s usually with the regular mozzarella balls unless the store has a lactose free section.

Sorry, I know not exactly helpful but it might be if you know the brand.

Whole Foods has a whole section of dairy free cheese. Daiya is my favorite.
