Email if you know you are declining the spot, please! One person‘s rejected spot is another person‘s happy surprise acceptance from the waitlist. Especially if there is merit aid or other perks attached.

You can email if you like.

My perspective is that, if they don't have a withdraw button, they don't actually care to know before the May 1 expiration of the offer of admission.

Just send an email to admissions. It’s nice to let them know so they can start figuring out how much space they may have to take students from the waitlist.

We found a decline button for one college after clicking on enroll button. There was an option decline or accept after we clicked on enroll. Other colleges had accept and decline buttons easily accessible from the dashboard.

Out of the few portals, only one had a clear one. I think it's possible we are not looking in the right spot but I can't find other buttons! Is that typical?!
