I haven't seen how it is reported but the counselor said what PP described. The 10th grade spring semester grade just disappears and a new lines shows up that has a notation that it was taken in summer school with the summer school grade.
I’m PP and yes, the previous line just disappears. I’m looking at one of my kids transcripts.
An actual transcript, or SGGCR?
Yes. Actual transcript.

Why would someone who got a B retake?
For better understanding. Believe it or not there are courses where teaching is just not good and students didn't understand it the first time around.
Anonymous wrote:A 'B' could be a 79.5 which shows less understanding than let's say a student who got an 89.

For example,
Student took Honors English 9A Fall semester of 9th. Retakes Honors English 9A during Summer between 9th and 10th. Earns a better grade in summer retake. Will the new higher grade replace Fall of 9th H English grade on transcript, or be listed as another course under Summer courses?
Listed separately
