Any good spots for music or dancing? With teens.

Saturday farmers markets downtown and in IX Park. Maybe catch a spring sporting event or concert at UVA. Hike Old Ragg. Rent kayaks on the Fluvanna or at Lake Monticello.

The Dairy Market is fun. Food hall with ice cream and a brewery. Ace Biscuit is delish. Three Notch’d brewery is great too and has food.

I forgot to mention, for sweets I'd recommend Splendora's Gelato and Sugar Bear Ice Cream. Both local, both great.

For a rainy day, Decades Arcade downtown has old school arcade games.

For the tween crowd I'd recommend:

1) Mariebette for brunch (the Rose Hill location has more charm than the downtown one)
2) Cou Cou Rachou for breakfast/brunch
3) Brazos Tacos (the IX Park location, not the Barracks Rd location) for lunch
4) Bad Luck Ramen (IX Park) for dinner. Instead of fortune cookies, you receive a "bad luck slip" at the end of your meal.
5) Guajiro's Miami Eatery for breakfast/brunch/lunch
6) There's an outdoor food court type area in Fifth Street Station (where Alamo Drafthouse is) with fun restaurants. Can recommend Arepas Steakhouse or Inka Peruvian Grill for South American cuisine, Mochiko for Hawaiian food.
7) Kardinal Hall can be fun in good weather, they have a good outdoor biergarten setup.

Skip the Dairy Market. A lot of vendors have left in the past couple of years and it's not as good as it once was.

I agree with this. There really isn’t much for tweens/teens in Charlottesville.

Head over to Staunton and go to the Frontier Culture Museum.

Do you like outdoor activities like biking and hiking? The weather is great for outdoor activities with kids that age.

Charlottesville can be really fun for families with young kids or adults (wineries and breweries), has less to offer for the teenage crowd.

Mount Pleasant is an amazing hike.

There are lots of family-friendly hikes you can do. Check out Carter Mountain and see if anything is going on there. Mine wasn't impressed with IX Park for outdoor art but YMMV.

We’re going to Charlottesville for spring break. It’s been many years since I’ve been there, and it was an adult trip. I have a 10-year-old and a 14-year-old so I’m looking for recommendations on what to do with them. We will walk UVA campus, downtown mall, tour Montecello. I’m wondering if there are other things that would interest Kids. Activities, restaurants, any other recommendations appreciated.
